BOISE COUNTY SOLID WASTE/NOXIOUS WEEDS SUPERINTENDENT

Boise County is looking for qualified candidates to fill this dual department supervisor position. The position reports directly to the Boise County Board of Commissioners. A general summary of the position follows:

Solid Waste Department: Plans, manages, coordinates, and supervises the implementation of the Boise County Solid Waste Program, as required under Idaho Statutes and Federal/State regulations. Superintendent is responsible for supervision of employees assigned to the Boise County Solid Waste Department and is required to evaluate personnel, assess equipment needs, and monitor the budget as appropriated by the Board of County Commissioners.

Noxious Weeds Department: Administers the Boise County Noxious Weeds Control program, in accordance with Idaho Noxious Weeds statutes and other related State and Federal regulations. Supervises all employees assigned to the Noxious Weeds Department, including evaluation of department personnel. Responsible for the assessment of equipment needs and monitoring of the department budget as appropriated by the Boise County Board of Commissioners.

BOISE COUNTY WILDFIRE MITIGATION MANAGER/FORESTER POSITION

Boise County is seeking to fill this recently created position, which reports directly to the Board of Boise County Commissioners. Essential functions of the position include:

  • Management of funds and expenditures associated with the Wildfire Mitigation Program.
  • Developing and administering Community Wildfire Protection Plans throughout Boise County and promoting wildfire safety, home defense techniques and wildfire mitigation activities.
  • Design and implement fuel modification projects throughout Boise County, to reduce the danger of wildfire impacts to homes and developments.
  • Enhances multi-jurisdictional responses to wildfires, as required by Boise County’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan.

1/4/2018 – BOISE COUNTY DEPUTY COURT CLERK

The Boise County Court system has an opening for a full-time Deputy Court Clerk. The principal function of this position is to receive, post and monitor payments within the court system, while correlating them to the appropriate payment agreements. The position requires great attention to detail and accuracy, and reports to the Supervising Deputy Court Clerk.

Qualifications include a minimum of a high school diploma (or GED) and a clean criminal record. Prior experience in the court system or legal field is desired but not required.

The office is located in Idaho City, which is an approximately 45-minute drive from the East Boise area. This part-time position (10 to 16 hours per week) will provide a wide range of primarily administrative and clerical tasks to support the Office Manager, and will be paid $10 to $15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The ability to pay close attention to detail is critical. Prior clerical experience is helpful but not required. Prior experience in a prosecutor’s office, a criminal defense attorney’s office, or court clerk’s office is strongly preferred.
