What is Circuit Breaker (Property Tax Reduction Program)?

Program that offers tax reduction on your primary residence and up to one acre of land for people that meet certain qualifications.

Qualifications: You must meet all three

  1. Owned and lived in your home as your primary residence before April 15, 2018.
  2. Had an income of $30,050 or less (after medical expenses)
  3. Meet one of the following status requirements
    • 65 or older
    • Widow(er)
    • Blind
    • Fatherless or Motherless child
    • Former POW
    • Veteran with 10% or more service-connected disability
    • Receiving a pension from Veterans Affairs for non-service connected disability
    • Disabled as recognized by Social Security Admin., Railroad Retirement, or Federal Civil Service.

How to Apply:  Contact Boise County Assessor’s Office and request an Application.

HORSESHOE BEND ……………………… March 20, 2018 – HSB Senior Center

GARDEN VALLEY …………………… March 27, 2018- GV Senior Center

(HOURS at each location are 10am to 2pm)

If you have a completed application, questions, or need assistance in filling out your Application, please stop by a workshop and we will be glad to help.
