BOISE COUNTY DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Position assists staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology.  Support includes specification, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines.  Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.  The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users and the Boise County contracted software/support consultants, currently Computer Arts, Inc.  Position also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment.  The position’s responsibilities require independent analysis, communication, and problem solving.  Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Prior or demonstrated experience providing desktop support. Strong technical aptitude needed to work with a wide variety of devices and peripherals. Demonstrated knowledge of modern computer networking principles, procedures, and equipment. Must be able to pass pre-employment FBI background investigation.

BOISE COUNTY CODE COMPLIANCE / BUILDING INSPECTOR POSITION

Within the capacity of code compliance, this individual is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and directing responses to citizen complaints and reports from other agencies and Boise County departments, on alleged violations of Boise County ordinances and building codes. Investigation process and follow up will include substantial field inspections as well as office administration for resolution.

As the County Building Inspector, individual will examine structures to ensure structures have been built in compliance with building codes and ordinances. These inspections occur throughout the construction process and will be coordinated with information obtained from the Boise County Planning & Zoning Department.

Qualified candidates must be capable of handling hostile people and alleviating/diffusing contentious situations.

DEPUTY CLERK – ELECTIONS COORDINATOR/INDIGENT SERVICES

The Boise County Clerk’s Office has an opening for a full-time Deputy Clerk who will serve as the Elections Coordinator and Indigent Services Director, for Boise County.  The position is responsible for the coordination of all elections, including all taxing districts within Boise County, communications with the Secretary of State’s Office, election related vendors and election workers. This position also has responsibility for the delivery of Indigent Services offered by Boise County and works closely with the Board of County Commissioners on indigent related matters. Both the elections and indigent functions require the ability to research and interpret, with legal resources, the applicable Idaho Code sections.

 QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word and Excel needed, experience using a variety of software applications is helpful. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
