Mountain Bike Ride for Getting on the Trail Again

Mountain Bike Ride near Garden Valley

Calling all Wolverines on Wheels Mountain Bikers and anyone that wants to join in!

Next Ride Saturday, April 29th at 1:30 pm

All ages and abilities are welcome!

Here are the details:

Date/Time:  Saturday, April 29th; if your bike needs air, a tune-up, etc., come at 1:00 pm and I’ll help you out, we will ride at 1:30 pm.

Location:  Wash Creek (FS Road 690)

Directions:  Cross the South Fork bridge on Alder Creek Rd, then take the first left on Southfork Rd.  Drive less than ½ mile, then turn right at the brown Forest Service sign marking Road 690.  The public turn-off is right next to a private driveway.  Parking is just a few yards up the hill.

The Ride:  For beginners, the first approx. 2.5 miles of Wash Creek Rd. follows the creek at a pretty mellow grade.  There are only a couple of steeper spots that some may need to push their bikes up.  The beginner group can simply turn around for a 5-mile round-trip.  Those looking for more adventure will continue up to the ridge between Wash Creek and Alder Creek, then loop back down on a steeper ATV trail.  The full loop is roughly 11 miles.

As always, all riders must wear helmets and bring plenty of water.  Snacks are also recommended on a longer ride like this one.

They will ride rain or shine (but let’s hope for some sunshine!).

Please don’t hesitate to call Scott Kahre at 208-514-6297  if you have questions.
