Sign Up below to receive alerts from Boise County– a FREE service for our residents. It is called AlertSense.

This system will give you emergency updates of concern.  The system works  to get information to as many residents as possible to inform about avalanches, roads, weather events, floods and more.  Some alerts will come as a recording, some such as weather will come to emails.  Stay informed with this service.

You provide your address and preferred method(s) of contact. Adding your address will allow tailoring so you do not receive alerts that don’t pertain to your geographical area. Check off all the boxes ….including avalanches to get reports in your area if needed.

These alerts are provided free of charge, however standard text messaging rates and other charges may apply.

  1. Potentially this is a good service. Unfortunately these alerts don’t seem to include any notification of highway closures…….Why?? at the time last alert was sent Highway17 was closed, due to avalanche between Garden Valley & Banks. It is still closed. Is there some way to find out about this without calling Sheriff dispatch??

    • I was not getting them either. Today I went in and checked off more preferences. I did not have avalanche checked off. Once I checked it off, I got the recording call to inform about Banks-Lowman Rd.
