Garden Valley Quilters Starting Up Again This September

The Garden Valley Quilters meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Senior Center in Crouch from 10:00-4:00.  They are ready to start the 2016-2017 year with a potluck luncheon.  Bring your favorite dish and check them out.

The group welcomes anyone interested in learning quilting or in expanding their quilting skills. They have all levels of quilters attending.  It’s a great time to visit and exchange ideas and see what others have accomplished.

The quilters schedule classes and events throughout the year which include constructing a raffle quilt to benefit community services, donating baby quilts to the neonatal unit in Meridian, the annual Fiber Arts Faire and a  program full of ideas and new projects.  There is something for everyone while building quilting skills.

This year the focus will be quilting Log Cabin variations, but it will also include miniature quilts, thread painting, mystery quilts, round robins, Christmas blocks and so much more.  Working on your own unfinished projects is always a welcome alternative as well. It is a great time to enjoy the friendships while working on projects you choose.

Dues for the year are $15.  For the first meeting in September bring fabric to make a coffee cup holder and mug rug to match. Bring your  sewing machine and sewing supplies and hear about the plans for the entire year ahead. If you are just beginning, the group always has tools to share that day to get anyone started. The fun starts on September 14th.  or even on the 28th.  If you have questions in the meantime, Call Barb @ 462-3985 or Chris @ 323-1644.
